Perhaps I'm just a grumpy old man (ok, not perhaps), or just not the target audience, but searching for our next car is just turning out to be so painful, and that's before we've even seen a car or tried contacting a dealer.

The overly wordy, what I can only assume are automatically generated ads (I hate the term AI), make it almost impossible to ascertain what options and history the car has without trawling through paragraphs of fluff - particularly looking at you BMW - it's just painful to read.

And they are at least the ones that give some info about the car - so many just give a read up of how marvelous the dealership/warranty is without even mentioning the car; even worse for those that haven't yet got around to posting a picture where there's not even a reference to the colour.

And then the way the filtering is now on AT, taking up most of the screen / resetting almost every time i try and change a parameter (Sorry PH I do look elsewhere) plus repeating cars and/or continually showing ones that don't relate to any parameters of our search - yes our hunt for a mid priced estate locally does mean it's worth throwing up a 6 figure new Range Rover 200 miles away.. again, and again, and again.....

OK, perhaps I've just had a bad day, and I do embrace change, but is it just me???

A glass of something, and a couple of ibuprofen, and I'll continue my quest....

It’s awful.

Loads of flowery verbiage.

At least the standard of grammar has improved a bit due to CTTL+V, and the number of adds in block capitals seems to have reduced (though I could be wrong on that).

It could be worse, you could have to put up with stupid PH pedants who want to point out that the normal abbreviation of control-v is ctrl-v and that "add" has too many d's to be an abbreviation for advert biggrin

Try using ebay instead! You'll be back to AT in 2 seconds after you see that every ad on ebay is written with their AI bot. "This car is silver in colour, has four wheels and is powered by a diesel engine." etc
