Hey all,

Not something I’ve really got much background on as I’ve always ignored all hybrid / elec cars, but the Mrs doesn’t like my stupid fuel-smelly toys so I’m thinking of selling a TVR and getting something more modern.

I need your help to understand if there is anything cool out there, I’m not seeing anything that excites at the moment…

Ideal brief would be a fun convertible that can run on elec only mode. So.

BMW i8 vert (exterior cool, interior not)
Artura (ugly IMO)
296 (ugly and a bit much)

None of these really excite/ look pretty to me.. the i8 is actually most appealing of that list.

What am I missing?

Taycan 4s ct (green gold wheels) is the best looking normal EV I can think of, but it’s not a sports car. It’s a utility vehicle.

Can anyone think of anything stylish I’m missing/not thinking of so I can have fun musing the classifieds?

(It may be a more modern euro4 Supercar would fit the bill if it doesn’t smell fuel-y - but a elec hybrid could be different to mix it up a bit.)

Thanks in advance!

sadly there isn’t many Pure EV or even plug in cars that are that good looking, most likely a small market and SUVs are so popular and hide the heft of the batteries

There is however the following I can think of, you don’t mention a budget so everything is newish

Mercedes AMG GT Plug in - coupe only
Mercedes CLE300E plug in - Pan roof as an option - there’s also a convertible model but none I can find for sale
Mercedes SL plug in hybrid
Maserati gran turismo fully EV - convertible due soon
Mg cyber roadster fully EV
Upcoming boxter and cayman Fully E
Bentley continental coupe and convertable plug in
Rolls Royce spectre EV
Fiat or abarth 500e are technically a convertible and probably the coolest car you can buy today

SUV But Porsche cayenne coupe

Thanks, Quattr04.

Abarth 500e is probably the coolest in the list imo, agreed.

I couldn’t with the cyberster. Ugly af.

The new boxster I’ve no doubt will be good… but I hate buying new cars.

It’s interesting - your super helpful post shows, there isn’t much that’s cool and electric today, just lots of family cars and some GTs. Maybe an electric conversion of a classic would be coolest…. Where would I look for those? Any EV conversion forums or something?
