Hi looking to buy car at end of lease. Been offered warranty for £599 for 3 years from British car auctions. Is it any good or better with manufacturer warranty? (Land Rover- 3 years old and due first MOT).

Problem with 3rd party warranties is they just seem to try and duck out of claims. I wouldn’t bother if I was you.

How good do you think a warranty will be that costs £200 a year?

A Land Rover warranty is around £1500 and would be the only one to consider as it provides proper coverage.

Read the small print - even the official Jaguar landrover warranties are third party and have lots of gaps.

Be better just buying a more reliable brand of car in the first place.
