40K - RS4/6/Panamera turbo/GTS or suggestions?
Discussion
Bare with me;
Currently drive a Mk2.5 focus st with around 330bhp. It's silver, I'm bored of it and the image and now in a position to get something spicy. I've had the car almost 10 years and now I want something bigger/more powerful before we're not longer allowed by our faithful leader.. 🙄
I've always loved the sound of an NA panamera GTS, I love the buttons and actually with the right wheels and colour coded skirts think they look better in the flesh than pictures. They're also sub 30k and seem pretty bombproof? My biggest issue with them though are.. there's the Turbo or if its 4.8V8 the turbo S. I'm abit torn with those two tbh.
My wife has always been adamant that we don't need anything bigger than a 2.0 - since we looked at a C8 RS6 and i got her to start it up she's in love with it. The fact it has the adaptive suspension, exhaust and big enough for passengers behind my seat (I'm 6'4) she's on my side now. It was 70K so we'll be looking at a C7.5 RS6 for affordability. An RS6 has always been my euromillions win so other than the obvious ragged and stolen issues, are they worth the money?
I've always liked the new 2.9TT V6 RS4 pre-facelift. Think they've got the torque to get away from mild hybrids and base electric cars (unlike the B8 NA RS4 - love the sound but think I've been spoilt by forced induction and 400ftIbs for 10 years 😬) and they've got all the mod cons I'd need.
Long story short, I'm open to suggestions. 40K seems our limit but no BMs. Also really like Jaguar XJRs but she's not keen on RWD

As good as the RS6 is I'd take the E63 everytime it's just as much of an event, more wallet friendly in terms of maintenance:

Not as much theatre but another bloody good option is the E53:

There's also the 2.9 Panamera hybrid:

Sat in a 5.5 E63 estate and the wife instantly hated it. Said it felt old man-ish and boring 🤣 i love them, cls63 shooting brake are lovely! RWD is out of the question unfortunately I think. RS7 is a shout but I do prefer the looks of the 6E63

Good shout, thankyou! Didn't think the E63 would be in budget but may have to keep looking. Always forget about the hybrid V6 Panameras, are they worth a look? Surely with a map they'd be early turbo level of shove? I love the GTS for the way it's designed to be the agile one but heard horror stories of them being done by the base diesel 😬https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202502118...

You have to remember the hybrid is 450 (nigh on RS4 power) bhp so they're no slouches & they steer well too.The E63 is a beast & gets my vote (& as you can see 4matic E63's are comfortably within range) everytime but find a good 4.0T Panamera & you won't feel short changed, I'd say try & get some test drives.
