Bought a car today but its still showing as untaxed?

Hi all, bought a new car today. Dealer did all the paperwork in front of me including assigning the log book and they done the roadtax in front of me and I also have the receipt and confirmation for it. However when checking on dvla website it is still coming up as untaxed, does it normally take a few days to update? Will the bank holiday affect that?
A couple of years ago we bought a new car - collected at 6pm on a Friday evening. We had insured it, tax was done by the dealer while we were there.
On the Sunday afternoon - got pulled over by a marked car, his first question was - when did you buy this? as it was showing as not taxed or insured.
As we were able to prove online it was insured and had only had the car 48 hours he was happy all was in order, might be an idea to keep the reciepts in the car until it shows as taxed.
