GR86 or multi-vehicle garage?

I've had my GR86 for 18 months now and I really enjoy owning and driving it. It's used as a daily with sensible WFH and lift-sharing keeping the mileage down.
However....
As a daily, there is a final, final sparkle that it's lacking and with it being NA, lacks the silliness of a turbo-charged punch that would amuse between the local roundabouts.
An A110 is my perfect car but it would be at top, top end of budget and being honest, it's not really suitable for a 25 mile ea. way commute as a long term proposition.
I'm drawn to the idea of the best possible Boxster for £20k alongside a Fiat Qubo or similar which I think would make for a sensible combo.

2 cars are always better than 1. No car can do everything...However....

I found the GR86 was too impractical for my needs so a Qubo would be ace...

GR is a better attempt at the one car solution than most, but remember, n+1 is the answer.
The GR has disappointing throttle response at low speed which dampens the overall (everyday) experience. If I drove like a hero everywhere it would be fine but unfortunately that's not reality. GR is a better attempt at the one car solution than most, but remember, n+1 is the answer.

Have you thought about mapping it? It won't add big power but it'll improve the throttle response.Or if the Alpine is a stretch to far go and test drive an Evora:

I'd always been a single car guy, which resulted in me dailying various interesting cars over the years; VX220 Turbo, Z3M Roadster, E46 M3, GT86 to name but a few. It was always fun but it often felt like a bit of a "waste" of the car, especially in winter etc.
I recently, finally moved to running two cars; an F56 MINI Cooper and a S2 Lotus Exige. It is more pricey factoring in insurance, tax and servicing, but it feels so good having cars better suited for what I actually use them for, and swapping between them keeps the Lotus feeling "fresh" when I do get the opportunity to drive it. Wish I'd done it years ago.
So I vote multi car garage for definite!

Two car garage (minimum) is always the answer. I do find my F82 M4 is damn near perfect for me but I do also have an R53 Mini which I use as a track car simply because I don’t want to risk the expense of the M4
I can't think of many cars that would better my F82 M4 as a daily driver either. Only the harsh ride niggles me, but then I wouldn't want it rolling around in the corners either though in fairness. I also agree that more than one car is preferable as well, so that probably explains why I have 4 then?!
I only ever had one car at a time for years, until I bought my first 2 seater in 2014 and have also run a "sensible" car as a daily ever since.
It does involve extra cost, but it means the fun car can be more focused and the daily only has to do run of the mill stuff. Plus I hope it means I should always have one that works!
And while a GR86 would cover most bases I prefer my 2 seater and 4 door combination.
