I have a 370Z - i love the car,the looks, the performance and that V6 noise with an invidia exhaust - but sometimes i look to 'upgrade' options to try something a bit different.

Ive been looking at these cars below (budget of around £20-25K)

Lotus Evora
Jaguar F-Type

Has anyone done a similar upgrade or have experience of these cars? Any more suggestions? I like a certain 'rarity' in cars so none of the German stuff really appeals to me...

The Evora is the pick but hard to find at the top of your price point, the V6 F type is a peach & you'll land a nice one at your price point:

Some nice suggestions - i get a bit of an 'old man' feeling with the Astons and TVR haha, plus im guessing the repair costs would be astronomical seeing as they are quite old cars?

The F Type really appeals to me as its a bit more modern and really is a beautiful car - but again, big repair costs could be an issue - i mean, these cars were close to £100k when new?!

My issue is that my 370Z is probably worth about 10K now,due to high 118k mileage - but you get so much car for that money - im going to have to pay at least double that to get a car that is even worthwhile considering and a slight 'improvement'...the Evora looks like a more practical version of the Elise, which i was thinking about but its a bit 'bare bones' to be a daily hehe...

I reckon you can’t really go wrong with the Evora. If going for the F-Type, get the V8 rather than the V6 (which then means you’ll be having an auto box) - I have heard about issues with water getting into the engine bay on V6 models & screwing everything up, then again could be ok if it lives in a garage and you avoid driving in bad weather.
