Recently taken over a voluntary role as CEO of a charity, London based. They definitely need their own transport and can't rely on Zipcar for their events as it's getting harder and harder to get a decent van and be reliable on pick up and drop off times.

Small budget (mainly as I'm doing a sponsored LeJog cycle to raise some money and covering the shortfall myself!) of around £5,000 but the problem is it needs to be ULEZ compliant and reliable. Can have some budget creep but would prefer not to.

It carries anything from ice cream machines to projector and screen right through to numerous wheelchairs for delivery.

So, £5k, biggish, ULEZ compliant and reliable. What are you looking at?

Have you thought about something petrol powered? Though I don't know if these will be big enough for what you need?

Maybe buy a petrol MPV & remove the seats as that may prove easier to buy at your price point.

Thanks guys, the e NV200 would probably be my preference but I don't think those that will be using it will want to worry about charging it and it'll be parked up in a single garage unit with no power.

Thanks for the options, I think SWB transit size might be the best size, given where it will be parked too.

Not a bit shout on an MPV with seats removed too. Thanks.

Mrs Bert and I work with a charity, and I think they’d find a cheap old van more of a burden than a benefit, who’s going to cover the running costs? A couple of charities we know have got decent deals from main dealers on leases, van logo’d up telling everyone that the dealer supports the charity. That’s what we’ll try and do when I get sick of using my car for everything!

That’s not a bad shout, I’ll get on the phone to some local dealers and see what they say. Not sure why I didn’t think of something similar.

Thanks again.

You can get the Nissan NV200 with a more conventionally powered 1.5 dCi engine, like this

If you want something properly big here are a couple that should be ULEZ compliant
