F87 M2 Competition - Bargain of the Moment?
Discussion
Is the F87 M2 Comp the bargain of the decade at the moment? Around £30k would get a good one and I can't find anything that comes close for the price.
The PCP deal on my F87 M2 Comp is due to end in around 10 months so I have started to look at possible replacements. The new G87 M2 was top of my list but after getting a few finance quotes I was shocked at how expensive it would be to move into a car that was essentially a bigger, heavier version of my existing car. For reference, my car is only worth £2k less now (after 24k extra miles) than it was when I 'bought' it. If use the equity in the car (roughly £4500) towards a deposit, topped it up with another £5500, the new M2 would still be £750-£900ish a month over 3 years.
718 Caymans and Boxsters are even worse but with the new 2.0 and 2.5 fours, they don't really compare from a drivetrain perspective. I accept PDK is better than DCT though.
I looked at Mustangs but the interior isn't very pleasant. Jaguar P450 f-type really appeals but I am not particularly confident that it would be as reliable as the M2... or as good to drive.
So... what options would you lovely lot suggest? Am I missing anything? Thinking that the best option would be to just refinance and keep the F87?

My son has a Mustang Dark Horse and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how good the interior is ( And I have owned Bentley's, Porches and fast Audi's). After 7 months of ownership his car still has no creaks or rattles. True the car is a big ole thing, but it looks good and the V8 rumble at standstill and when moving up the rev range is a delight.

Is the correct answer, you have a car you like and know, keep it pay it off and stop the drip, you'll have all the car you need and clearly like without shelling out every month for larger amounts of depreciation and interest payments. I noticed this one up for sale near me, I know it's not a Comp but still!

(I know it's Facebook, could be a scam, but doesn't appear to me, and I actually bought my last car off there)

OP - just pay for the car you have instead. Is your final payment on PCP less that the car is worth now? If so then an absolute no brainer

Early Giulia quadrifoglios can be had for around £30k.
I suspect that whatever qualities you value in he F87 will be better in the quad.
Yep - I was considering M4 comp a few months ago (mostly for the convertible) but fell in love with a Quad when I drove one.I suspect that whatever qualities you value in he F87 will be better in the quad.
I'm sure the M4 and M2 are excellent cars, but I liked the drive in the Alfa very much, liked the interior layout, loved the power - and I quite like cars that are a little less mainstream - hence Alfa vs BMW is a plus for me. Having said that, we did by a 6 month old BWM a month later (not an M car) - first BMW we've owned - and it's an impressive car.
