I am looking into building an extra large Sherperds hut for a glamping hut on my land, I got to the point where I was building a chassis , which has to be movable to differnt locations and realised a box van is already the core of what I need, I could remove the cab and engine and clad the box in insulation and wriggly tin.

How much would a scrap 4 m Luton box van cost me ?

How much is a non-scrap one, offset by selling the chassis cab as a going concern?

Buy a surplus refrigerated box and save on insulating it; the ubiquity of supermarket delivery has meant a steady supply of these on the scrap market.

My mate can help with those lol, you take it off and you can have it, a pain removing and a bigger pain to get rid of legally. Not sure they suit the job though, are they high enough?

Maybe not with the smaller ones, but there are plenty with decent headroom; a box off a 7.5 tonner would have plenty of height.

Not too bad?

The likes of Johnny Vegas obviously have (much) deeper pockets.
