Just seen an advert for a Citroen C4 Cactus and wondered if it would be any good as i have been thinking about changing my current Astra.
It is a 1.6 BlueHDI Feel Euro 6.
My main concerns are does it achieve Euro 6 with a dpf and addblue and is the cambelt likely to be dry or in oil which would put me off as i tend to do only short journeys,It also has 101 thousand miles on it which is nothing but i have no history on the belt.

We had a c4 cactus, 2017 1.6hdi
Bloody brilliant little car. Less than a tonne and way more spritely than you think. Very comfy around town in that typical citroen way.
Positives
More storage space than you realise
Faster than you think and can be hustled about eith much grinning
Dead easy to place on the road and easy to park
Negatives
Stupid dashboard. Crap mobile app that never worked
Damn ugly...I mean it's really ugly
Ad blue tank has a built in fault that the pump is sealed into the tank and corrodes in adblu leading to a £1500 tank replacement. Had to fight citroen tooth and nail to get them to cover it one year out of warranty as a known build fault (that was subject to a recall elsewhere, just not in the uk)
Overall great cheap motoring if you can stand the pig ugly looks

If you only really do short trips then I wouldn't recommend a diesel at all. Just asking for trouble. Petrol or hybrid, or full leccy if you can charge it, although, yes, it may mean you don't get a Cactus. It is a 1.6 BlueHDI Feel Euro 6.

Weirdly it was the ugliness (i like to call it quirky and therefore typically Citreon) that appealed to me.The adblu does put me off though for the reasons stated. If i stick with diesel it will have to be pre DPF like the Astra so thanks to all of you for the advice.Bloody brilliant little car.
