Replacement for 3rd Gen CRV
Discussion
A friend is looking to replace their 3rd gen Honda CRV.
They have a budget of upto £10K and are looking for a more spacious vehicle this time. They have 3 small children so are leaning to a car with raised seating position again although i ve suggested something like a Superb estate. Typically the car will be used for urban city journeys so petrol is what they are looking at, no charging capability at home.
The Skodas look a bit taxi for them and I understand they want something a bit nicer/premium etc. Doubt you get much for £10K for a German SUV type vehicle though. They would consider a newer CRV, any other ideas? Infiniti seem good bang for buck although not many for sale in Scotland

I know you said looking for something more premium, but how bothered are they about the image? The Hondas of this generation are very 'Premium' in my eyes as the build quality is good, far better then anything Mercedes was making at the time.
With 3 small kiddos and a tight budget I'd be looking at Japanese minivans like these:

I'd suggest looking at the last of line Insignia they're great family cars & are nice inside too, get them to sit in one:
