As the title says. Looking at a particular car and the monthly payments are much cheaper if you lease the car rather than buy in on a PCP.

I was wondering if I could lease the car for two years and then potentially buy it from the lease company?

Over the two years it is much cheaper to lease than to buy it with the benefit of handing it back if I don't like it or there are issues.

This would he with AA leading, has anyone tried to buy a car from them and if so what was the quote like.

This is driven by a YouTube video I watched on a Hyundai EV where a guy leased it for 3 years then purchased it and it was cheaper than buying it on a PCP.

Just an idea, but would he nice to lease a car and have the option to buy it. Firstly you know the history and get two years to see if there are any issues.

I purchased my BMW 128ti from Arnold Clark leasing at the end of my 3 year lease.
The transaction was very straightforward and the price was surprisingly reasonable.
I am glad I did so. I took out an extended manufacturers warranty for year 4, and will continue to do the same each year whilst the car is running well.
Different leasing companies operate different rules when it comes to allowing their customers the option of buying their leased vehicle at the end of the term.

I bought my car off VW Finance at the end of its lease. I had to sign a piece of paper when taking out the lease that I was accepting by going down this route (rather than a much more expensive PCP) I would not have the option to buy the car at the end. A month or so before the end of the lease I rang up and asked for a price to purchase. Haggled for a week, then bought it for a bit less than the webuyanycar opening price for it.
