The OP has been considering getting a cheap clapped out van in order to live in it, rather than see what options there are for accomodation that won't see him die of hypothermia in a ancient Toyota Previa.

Using for living accommodation puts a different slant on it- headroom would be more useful then i think, ruling out estate cars and shorter mpvs.

And "MPV life" doesn't quite have the same ring to it...

For actual driving, things like insurance and speed limits would probably be relevant, as well as the maximumnload space needed.

Ultimately, anything for £700 is going to be bottom of the barrel, and one medium sized repair bill away from scrap.
