Advice on obtaining best PCP finance deal?

I have just paid a £500 deposit for a car I am interested in. The dealer is going to email me details of how to apply for finance.
The finance calculator the dealer uses is based on a 9.9% APR rate however I wanted to know if I am able to obtain a better rate, maybe with a comparison site perhaps or should I just apply for credit with the provider the dealer is going to suggest?
This is my first time buying a car via PCP so it's all new to me.
