Should I sell my M140i?

I recently bought a heavily optioned B9 S4 Avant for a great price as I needed an estate/wagon. Would love a B9 RS4, but they are 3x what I paid for the S4.

I prefer the B9 overall as a daily commuter and appreciate the additional space, but prefer how the F20 drives. The M140i is modified to stage 2 with full exhaust system and is a monster to drive. If I sell the M140i, I will mod the S4 to stage 2.

I don't do track days, so a comfortable fast daily is what I need.

Will I regret selling the M140i?

I guess I could keep it as my weekend car, but they seem to be depreciating steadily, so doesn't make a lot of sense to keep it around. I guess I could always get an older E series BMW as a weekender if that RWD itch ever needed scratching again.

Yes sell it

Sell them both and get a 340i Touring or M340i Touring depending on funds available.

That way you keep the fantastic B58 and have the space you need.

Sadly in Australia where I'm from, we didn't get the F or G series (M)340i as a touring, otherwise it would be a no brainer!

We've only recently had the M3 available as a touring, but obviously way out of my budget. We can import G21 M340i from Japan, but not the F31.

If I keep the S4, I'll probably import an M340i touring from Japan in a few years time when they've gotten a bit cheaper.

Ah - I hadn’t realised you weren’t in the UK. Tough call then and I couldn’t advise without knowing their values etc. I hope you keep the 140 but only if it’s right for you.

Keep the m140i, I had a stage 2 also around 6 years ago and was one of the most fun cars I have drove
