I bought a year old MG3 from a big Nissan/MG dealer.Basically after 6mths the infotainment system went faulty. Took it back and was told it was under warranty and they tweaked it and was now working. It went again months later, and they then replaced a part. It went again and they are saying it is a different part of the system and no longer under warranty. It has also caused my battery to go flat each time, (I did get a new battery the first time as I hadn’t linked the two), but the second time it went flat the AA man said that something was draining the battery, and it always coincides with the infotainment system not working, and possibly it is not turning itself off properly.
The dealership said MG are refusing to replace it as it’s not in warranty now and it’s a different part of the system that when I first brought it in. They said there is nothing more they can do!

What are your thoughts?

Write to MG UK HQ would be my thoughts for a newish car.
They may persuade the dealer to have another look.
I'd also swap the battery to see if the issues go away, albeit temporarily.

Check online to see if other owners have the same issue.

The first time the battery went I had a new one put in. AS guy said when he charged it, it s holding its charge but something is draining it. It s fine whilst the infotainment system is working but when it goes wrong, give it a couple of weeks and I get a battery so flat I can’t even use the fob to unlock the car.
