Hi folks
my wife is looking to replace her 64 reg Seat Ibiza 1.4 Toca 84bhp with another newer Seat as her current car has been faultless over almost 8 years. She wants either another Ibiza or poss a Leon or an Arona.
What engine out of the 1.0tsi , 1.2tsi , 1.4tsi and 1.5tsi is the less troublesome? What one is best to avoid?
It would be a manual gearbox not Auto.
I remember a while back that i read that one was particularly bad for cam-chain issues but i can't remember which one it was , any advice greatly received .
Thanks

They’re all pretty good. The 1.4 has had the most “Complaints” but they’re still very solid.

Would happily own any of them. If you go for the 1.0 make sure it’s the 115ps, the 95ps isn’t really enough.

Also, the Arona is st. Ibiza is nicer to drive by a significant margin, and in my opinion, bigger.
