High Mileage F25 X3 30d

How are these fairing?
Moved on from my last post and have spotted a few of these in budget, this one in particular is very well specced....

Looking at the 3.0d as from reading online these are the reliable choice, plus I would like the poke. I guess psychologically dropping £8k on something with high mileage is not something I've ever really done. Not adverse to properly servicing my cars but also don't want to be buying straight into a money pit

Got rid of ours at 120,000 miles. I had it 100,000 of them
Big bills looming. So I sold it on before I fixed:
Leaking sunroof seals: needed sunroof out!
Turbo whistling
Most lower suspension arms corroded.
Rear boot lid motorised lifters failed. I put ordinary gas struts on.
Engine was good and cabin good, but modern cars are just too conplicated, these faults are costly.

You'll need to do your checks especially on the suspension side of things & then there's the drivetrain.Moved on from my last post and have spotted a few of these in budget, this one in particular is very well specced....

Personally with your budget I'd go for the Infiniti EX/QX50 although they're not the best looking but they're a bloody good suv & for the money very hard to beat.
You'll also get one with half of the mileage (or at least 40k less) to the X3 above & it'll be just as nice inside:

We have a F25 20d with 90k miles now relegated to third car duties.
Honestly it’s been faultless and super reliable even with it only being used every other week. It’s does feel old now but it’s part of its charm and it’s built like a tank.
We bought purely on condition with 1 owner and FSH so would recommend looking around for a good example.

Same here, although it's our main family car. 2015 2.0d, 90k miles and flew through its MOT today. It's been a fantastic car. We've owned it since 2020 and done 50k in it, with only a blocked pre-dpf pipe causing any issues. I love it.
