Best New Electric SUV ~ Company Car - £500 p/m?
Discussion
Brother’s company has started to offer Octopus’s electric car scheme.
He needs a new SUV so quite timely….i know nothing of such vehicles.
Criteria
Gross cost - up to £500 p/m
Mid sized SUV - two young teen kids plus luggage - think X5 size I guess
Reliable
Not too range sensitive, rarely does long trips
Home charging, so absolute last word in efficiency not paramount
No need for a drag race hero, but decent enough poke
Brand agnostic really
Ideas with any insight appreciated

There are three all-new midsize electric SUVs just launching around now:
BMW iX3
Mercedes GLC EQ
Volvo EX60
These (especially the BMW & Volvo) set new benchmarks for range and charging speed - which I know aren't important to your brother, but could be nice to have or could drive down prices of shorter range rivals.
Others in the market are the Porsche Macan and Audi Q6, plus possibly the incoming Polestar 4 'Estate', or Polestar 3.
Given the intense competition and how good the new entrants look, your brother may find a bargain among the above. My understanding is that lease prices vary between providers and often aren't proportional to list prices, so he'll have to see what's available for a good price on his specific scheme.
Some of these have air suspension as standard or optional, others have adaptive dampers (not yet on the BMW but coming soon), both of which can make for a more comfortable family car without compromising body control.

Did you just ignore the budget for fun?BMW iX3

£500/month, I'd have a look a Skoda (various SUV EV options) and a Tesla Model Y standard.

Are any of these suggestions even remotely near £500 per month gross? Might be best to get your brother to list out some options that fit with the budget and then ask for thoughts on here.
£500 gross rules out virtually everything in that class. Without looking possibly a MG offering but even that might be a no go.
The Peugeot E5008 was on offer recently and I'd recommend having a look. We had one of the first diesel ones on lease when they came out in 2017. Then swapped into a lease 2019 Audi Q5 and it felt like a downgrade on the Pug. Then on to a 2022 Hyundai Tucson which was a downgrade again.
Will be strongly considering a Pug again once the Tucson lease is up.

How about the Hyundai Ioniq 5? Not technically an SUV, more of a massive hatchback. Got tonnes of passenger space, decent sized boot, really nice car to live with with a great infotainment system compared to some of the VW group offerings. I've ordered a Ioniq 5 N Line S AWD via my company scheme (The Electric Car Scheme, imaginative name) and it's come out to £576 a month for 8000 miles a year. A slightly lower spec with RWD would put you down to the £500 a month range
