Must be unusual for a car to have had three owners, none of whom have driven more than 2,000 miles a year.

And yet it's needed new wishbones.

And to add, last serviced 750 miles ago and yet they say they're going to give it a full service. I'd be taking a careful look at that service history and also MOT history to see what's been going on.

Consistent low annual mileage since new, not a single advisory in the MOT history - which is unusual on a Jag.

Tax ran out end of October, would be interested to know where it's been since then. The sceptic in me thinks the seller will say in a heated, carpeted garage over winterbandit

Would be interested in seeing a build sheet print off from a dealer as if memory serves me right the R performance seat option comes with multi way electric adjustment with memory (lots more buttons on the door card) - this one just has the basic slider and seatback adjustment function.

The usual weak points to check -

- subframe corrosion
- centre air vents opening/closing - many sellers leave them open to disguise the fault
- exhaust valves open/close with button press - many stick shut so you don't get a change of tone/volume when button is pressed
- supercharger pulley play/rattle - most noticeable when starting from cold
- lumpy idle - coil pack failure

Firesand is in my top3 colours for F-type - looks mega.

Happy shopping!

Could be a town car which means speed humps (the central ones wear wishbones for fun) which exaggerate wear, aligned with low usage which means the rubbers dry out.

Agreed, neither of those things hugely surprise me on an F Type or XK, a lot were vanity purchases by people who never actually used them.

Wishbones as likely to be a dhead MOT tester drumming up work as anything else hehe

many thanks for the replies. The thing that does concern me is its history and as Chris said, tax running out last year BUT I sorn my cars for the winter, BUT you cant just leave cars untaxed cant you...they have to be taxed or sorned...

Its the colour that makes me go oooooh.

Googled about the seats and you can get performance seats with basic adjustment.

Will be ringing the dealer monday.

From the main F type forum.

Basic radio, nom heated wheel.

Mix matched tyres.

Sticky buttons

From 1 response.

P button damaged
Extensive soft touch paint issues
Steering wheel lower, steering wheel buttons
Center console lower buttons
Window switches
Leather condition of the drivers seat isn't perfect
Slight curb rash on wheels

Same guy

Wrong wheels
Calipers are NOT painted red
Interior is "dark hex aluminium" but without S graphic
Due to bad image quality, I am unsure whether it has the extended leather package, but I can be wrong - check the A-pillars and sun visors if you check out the car in person.
Rollover hubs are also not satin chrome if I'm correct
