GR Yaris, too many owners
Discussion
]you have to ask why, typically i would expect unrecorded serious crash damage that has been repaired badly so the car doesnt drive straight and repairing it is more cost / hassle than the cars worth so it gets unloaded.
the main dealer mashed my demo RS3 before i collected it and attempted to repair it but it crabbed left and once put on a jig it showed it was bent, i got a new one and they sold it someone else lol
i would want a full inspection on a car like that by litchfield

It’s not uncommon to see performance cars and motorbikes changing owners every year. I’d prefer a 1 owner car but that’s no guarantee that the 1 owner treated the car well. It’s possible that you’d be more careful if you knew a dealer was going to be inspecting it in a few months. History and condition is probably the most important. Perhaps an independent inspection from someone who knows the vehicles well would spot any major flaws.

This is the correct answer lol, go and check out the car, not dismiss it on paper. Doesitdrive said:

This is the correct answer lol, go and check out the car, not dismiss it on paper. Performance car owners often drive a car for a period of time then sell it on and move to the next shiny thing that has piqued their interest.
Not unsurprising for a car like this that attracted a lot of interesting and flipping particularly early on.
Wouldnt put me off if the car was otherwise perfect, but it might put off a small amount of future buyers when you're owner number 7 moving it on.

As title really, another too many owners question.
Seen a Gr Yaris CP Litchfield for sale 70 plate, 12000 miles.
Would 6 owners put you off or buy on condition?
Sorry edit, full toyota sevice history.
How long did the most recent owner have it? If the most recent owner had it for over 3 years, then that de-risks it a littleSeen a Gr Yaris CP Litchfield for sale 70 plate, 12000 miles.

Your not really buying this as a car/tool or at least 90% of owners arnt so multiple owners of this sort of vehicle is to be expected. That being said the amount of owners on this example does seem slightly high even taking that into account. Don’t dismiss but be aware and perhaps get a a proper inspection.

I've heard reports of people saying yes it's fast, but with 3 cylinders it's equally disappointing at times and nothing special.
Why come here to post something you’ve heard third hand? IMHO they come alive when driven quickly on twisty roads, very tight gear change and sharp 4wd.
Pretty much all of the motoring press don’t give 5* reviews to cars which are disappointing and nothing special……
The thing with the GR Yaris is that everyone raved on about it, so there's loads of interest. Therefore you've got people buying them just because X person said how great it is. Only for them to realise it's not for them. Lots of people don't realise how small it is, that it's not really a family car at all. It is a track car really, so there's loads of people who buy it for that, then move on once they've done.
See what the history is like. If it's good, then do the usual checks.

Weirdly, I am owner number 6 of my G80. I bought it from a main dealer at 15 months old with less than 5k on the clock. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about the owner numbers, but it was well maintained with a chunk of warranty left on it and like someone else said in the thread, I am planning on keeping it for at least 2 to 3 years so any future buyer will have some confidence that it's not a ****box and it's been looked after. Also I paid about £4.5k less than a similar age, spec and mileage 1 owner car. Swings and roundabouts....
