Hi Folks

I'm in the process of buying a used car (Fiord Focus).

Are there any driving aids on the market which could help me to:

1. Get a clearer view of the rear.

2. Help me park in tight spots (e.g. car assist)

3. Help in assisting the width of the car

Thanks in advance.

A pair of glasses would help with all three smile

Buy one with park pilot? Available on all sorts of Ford's, surely on a Focus?

Worrying if a very average size car is causing anxiety though.

Front and rear parking sensors and a rear camera would do it.

For example, this Focus https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202604241... in the spec section under Drivers Assistance lists Enhanced Active Park Assist , which should do the steering for you if you want.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem the Focus came with 360 degree camera view, which is useful.

BTW I do think modern cars including the last Focus have small rear windows that make it difficult to be sure what's behind when reversing.

Get a high spec one which will get you front & rear sensors as a minimum, depending on your budget later ones will also have a reverse camera.
