Prev car written off, need reliable Family car under £20k?
Discussion
We previously had a BMW series 3 GT which we took to about 130k miles, she had a fair share of issues including the rocker box cover, which I painstakingly changed over a week between work via Youtube videos.
A month later the car was then rear ended by a white van and has been deemed written off.
We looking for something in estate format that's more bullet proof, I'm thinking Toyota Corolla Tourer 2L or Mazda 6 Estate 2.5L ?
Toyota Corolla's seem painfully expensive for what you get, I even checked out Suzuki Swaces.
I'm not fussed about it being that fun to drive anymore, more just needing an A to B tool sadly now.
We are midlands based , we can definitely check out any listing recommendations asap
Edit - Btw based on a recommendation on here about 8 years ago I got a Mazda 2 and that's still going strong today!

What is you budget OP? I guessing about £20k?
The usual Lexus offerings are a good choice, the NX is a tarted up RAV4. There are also the IS ans ES saloons that are nice, the ES is ridiculously good value.
The Maxda6 you mention above is a good car. You could also look at Subaru Outbacks, Subaru Levorgs are the same size as the Corolla but a bit leftfield.
