My lad looking to buy a car so I’ve HPI’d it.
A mileage discrepancy has been flagged up but I can’t quite work it out.

Car registered May 2016 so first MOT due 2019 (but MOT done in June)
For some reason the mileage was first recorded in 2018 by the NMR (see pic)

However, the mileage stacks up against the old MOT’s.

But, reason for this MOT date?
Expiry 18 months after it was MOT’d?

Could be I suppose, but why would the mileage even be recorded only 2 years after registration, by the NMR?

Could be as reported at a service or insurance renewal.
Most likely at a service and the garage just got the numbers off the computer forgetting that most show that in km. Does the date tally (or almost) with a service date?

At change of keeper, mileage can be recorded, although it's not compulsory. perhaps this was it?
