Looking for a car over the next 5 years and the Peugeot E5008 fits the bill nicely - 7 seater, boot space, electric etc.

What would you do in this situation?

Leasing:
2 year deal plus 3 years or vice versa
Average annual cost 4.5k, so across 5 years looking at 22-25k
Require around 6k mileage per year.

Nearly new:
Price: 33-35k
25/75 plate with around 5k on the clock
Warranty: 6/7 years left for the battery and 1/2 years for the car.
Will buy outright with cash.

That's a tricky comparison as you're comparing brand new vs a 12-18 month old used vehicle.

Regardless I'm not sure chucking £30k plus into a used electric stellantis product is ever going to stack up from a financial standpoint

Fair point on £30k upfront. Got me thinking that there is the opportunity cost of investing that amount as well

I stick with my Dad’s financial advice on cars: if you can’t afford to write off the total cost then don’t buy it. There’s no point worrying about resale values and mileage.
