First time EV / PCP buyer advice -18k miles / year
Discussion
First time EV / PCP buyer.
Currently I drive Ford Focus 1.5 diesel and do roughly 18k miles a year. Costs me around just under £300 on fuel a month.
I have a LTD company (not VAT registered).
I want to switch to an electric car but I am confused with all the pcp terms and what deals are the best which EV to look out for. I have been looking at teslas or BYD. Unsure whether it is best to pcp or buy it cash.
Longest journey I will do is around 100miles in a day.
Been reading the post on this forum but most people have been getting 5k or 10k miles a year on pcp which won't be enough. IF I do something higher is worth getting it on PCP.

I recommend buying it personally, rather than as a business (at least on the purchase paperwork anyway) to ensure CRA protection.
Then claim usage to your company?
Check with your accountant, as I'm not sure if commuting mileage can be claimed (if it's commuting you use it for)
I'm sure one of our resident accountants will be along to confirm.
