Which muscle car?

I have a budget of around £25k and I'm looking to a 'muscle car's I.e big engine up front an rear wheel drive.

Currently thinking:

- Mustang GT 5.0
- F type V6 or V8
- E92 M3
- Jag XKR 4.2 or 5.0
- Z4M Coupe

Appreciate your thoughts on these options and any others I've missed. I don't want LHD so that rules out anything American.

Jaguar XFR FTW! That 5.0l engine is a must with some Spires boxes on the back.

I feel the F-Type is a bit too sporty, feminine even, to be a muscle car. Even with the same engine.

Good shout, I do like them in theory but don't love the looks and it needs to transport a child and so something a little more solid / safe is appealing

Anything with a V8 and an improved exhaust can be a muscle car, but the Mustang is the only proper one in your list (presumption you'd get a manual to revel in the heavenly smooth, creamy torque)

I vote for this too, but largely because I've got one and I love them. Not everybody's cup of tea though.

An early 4.3 Vantage might just be in that budget and maybe even a 4.7 ?

If you don’t mind the idea of LHD, some sort of American car would fit the brief (Camaro? Corvette?). If you’re feeling especially adventurous, an AC Cobra replica of some sort is also a brilliant prospect (Pilgrim Sumos etc).

I had a VXR one with a load of Walkinshaw extras.

Ive now got a W204 C63.

To be fair, the C63 is a far better car and fits the Muscle car mould well.

Having owned a 4.3 Vantage, the last thing I'd call it is a muscle car.

These are my kind of cars, so I'm in for the suggestions.

I've had a TVR Cerbera and a V8 M3, plus I've had a Z4M and I currently have a 370Z as well. I'd love to tick the V8 5.0 Mustang box one day too.
