Comparing small auto sedans is C class the smoothest in city
Discussion
Want to buy a small (ideally under 4.5 meters sedan/hatchback) that will be for mostly city driving and a little highway cruising at 70. What is the most important for me is an automatic gearbox that is smooth when I am on a traffic stop and the light shows green. I want to push the gas pedal and slowly go forward in a linear, predictable fashion (I am a novice driver with less than 1 year experience in the family Micra).
I have heard great things for the 9 tronic in the C class and not so good for DSG gearboxes and some mixed for the Aisin in XC40. Which other car strictly less than 2 tons and ideally shorter than 4.5 and petrol if possible will be a good choice?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the OP reads like a bot re-asking questions it's been asked.
Really weird mixture of language too, some European, some UK, some American.
No I still haven't heard a definitive answer this is why I am asking. Really weird mixture of language too, some European, some UK, some American.
There's no SI unit for "smoothness" of driving, so anything you get is at best an opinion.
Form your own.
