Up a creek without a ... Car

Hi Everyone, I feel like I am in a bit of a dilemma at the moment.
I don't particularly need a car all that much, I worked away on a rota, so away half of the year, but when I am back and I want the freedom to do as I please - golf etc its a massive inconvenience and I don't particularly like depending on the Mrs car as she sometimes wfh and sometimes in the office.
I have ordered a model 3, rwd, as a new car for 300 a month is great motoring and I have a charger at home, but something tells me that this deal will fall through as I don't believe they are too accommodating when delivery time is upon you and you cannot meet their demands ( sep delivery and I will be away the full month)
Some car history, last car was a q4 (hence the charger) a work salary sacrifice car that cost me net £0, before that was a X5 40D, before that was a 430D x drive, I do like cars and enjoy them, but with it being so long since I last had to personally finance and buy a car (2020 I bought the x5, was 18 months old and 40k, same car is still around 34k
) and with me being a bit more sensible with cash flow (baby planning on the horizon) I feel a bit stumped.
I read through the new lease deals page by page but a lot of the offers have since had finance changed.
if the Tesla falls through does anyone have any suggestions? id be open to paying probably £350 a month with a smallish deposit if required, and obviously not brand new unless some lease deals become more apparent but options look like:
Q4, Polestar 2, ID-7.
Im really open to suggestions, something nice to look at that won't get me ribbed off the mates, I did see a Changan s07 which was 379 deposit and monthly, I am basically pulling my hair out.

Buy a 3 yr old model 3 or similar and get a loan out. Much easier way of saving for baby
Put private reg on, your mates will think it's brand new

What a few of my ex-colleagues working offshore did was to pre-book a hire car for the 2 weeks off from the airport we flew in/out of.
If you can do it a month or 2 in advance & sign up for "deals" as notifications it can come out relatively cheaply & you aren't paying for what you aren't using.

Oh nice, I will have a look at this. I feel that hire cars seem to be very expensive in the uk but I will have a look at it in more detail. Of course it has to be viewed as just ‘transport’ but, and no offence intended, it doesn’t seem like you’re a petrol head who wants to tinker with or track something interesting.
So many cool options when you don’t actually need a reliable or new car to get to work and can enjoy some of the back catalogue for low costs.
