My leased Tucson goes back soon and just weighing up some options. Not adverse to leasing again if a good deal comes up, but only do ~4000-~5000 miles a year so wondering if id be better off buying something up to maybe £12K (the total cost of my current lease over 3 years) and have something to show for it after.

My daily commute to work is a mere 5 mile round trip, but as its a family car it gets used for most day-to-day tasks and trips down south 1-2 times a year.

Am considering SUVs & Estates, but prefer the former as its higher up and I'm a tall driver. Petrol as opposed to diesel and not unbearably slow.

Any suggestions? I've mainly leased in the past so mechanically I'm not that clued up on what I should / shouldn't go for.

TIA

If you're happy with the Tuscon you can buy circa 2020 for circa £12k.
