Strange classified listings
Discussion
I spend way too much time on the classifieds looking at cars I'm not going to buy and see some strange things. I'm sure alot of other people are the same.
What are the strange things you've seen or read in the classifieds?
Why would you use this as the main picture for your advert? Its more like something to show your nice house and car collection for Instagram.

That house is just around the corner from me, across the park where we walk dogs.
Young lad selling the GT4, so I'm guessing that is just a pic he has taken in the past and thought it would be great as an opener.
Strange description too. Cat S car but he says they can't see signs of damage.......

I do strange ones sometimes, like a 2013 Fiat Panda I had been buzzing around.
White car, black road muck all over it, worn out seat covers, the seats were like new underneath but I didn't remove them.
Took pictures exactly as it was, even left a bumper paint transfer that would easily of rubbed off.
Put a very healthy price tag on it too, it was a good one I tested well, stated on advert, " if you want it cleaned add 25 quid to the price and I will take it to the car wash"
My mates were pissing themselves, saying you can't do that, it will never sell lol, I was in a silly mood so on it went.
24hours later, full asking price, less 100 quid as the aircon wasn't working, the young couple brought a Fiat tech friend with them, he saw through the dirt lol.

Hm I suppose it does seem a bit show off to me though. I'd be more tempted to low ball him based on that.
That's hilarious re the Panda. I often see the dirty cars and I'm like really you can't even be bothered to wash it to sell it, so how badly have you treated it and maintained it.

You'd probably do well with a low ball offer. That's hilarious re the Panda. I often see the dirty cars and I'm like really you can't even be bothered to wash it to sell it, so how badly have you treated it and maintained it.
They are, how do I put this, the sort of culture that like to haggle....
Worth a go.
They had it parked on the side of the road last week with a paper for sale sign in window, like it was a £500 Clio.

The car was so dirty I just had some fun with the posting, it had a big Fresh UK sticker on it, I suspect it had been used for a Europe tour then sold on by part ex. That's hilarious re the Panda. I washed it when they were there lol, like a big reveal, I knew it waa good under it.
Getting these part ex sheds is eye opening sometimes, had them with slaughtered Mot,s, usually a very long list of advisories, or a minor fail and long list of advisories, taken them for an inspection with my tester and he has said nothing wrong and passed them.
Never take a shed to a main agent for mot lol
