How rusty is this Evo 7? Should I buy it?
Discussion
Thinking of getting this Evo 7 but how bad is this rust and what would be the cost to fix it?
The entire mot history looks good with no mention of structural corrosion. Now at 80k miles. I'm aware Evos do rust alot so I expect a 2001 car in the UK to have some. I'm just trying to determine if this is catastrophic or 'not too bad and can be sorted'.

Hard to give a good estimate of this sort of thing; it's hard to know how deep the rust goes beyond what's visible, and even knowing that, there tends to be a wide variation between costs and quality between different garages on this sort of thing, which aren't always correlated.
I want to suggest £1-2k but it could be more once it's all cut back; it's not really possible to put a 'worst case' upper bound on rust repair.
Given the cost, uncertainty, and time and hassle involved in finding a good place to do the work, I would suggest ideally seeking another car to buy, and otherwise to look to pay a good chunk less for this car to account for the above.

I could see it, unsure if this more direct link may work for anyone else
