Looking for some inspiration for a general runabout / dog carrier.

We currently have a Skoda Kodaiq and Jag XF sportbrake, both of which are going. The DSG box is playing up on the Skoda and the Jag isn't ULEZ compliant so isn't practical for its current use of school runs and 20min commute. Plan is to replace the Skoda with the awfully-named Dacia Bigster for family duties. That leaves me needing a cheaper car for work (must be ULEZ compliant) and dog duties. So requirements are

Petrol or petrol hybrid
Auto
Big enough for a large dog in the boot
Nice interior, ideally leather
If you can find me something with a heated steering wheel I will be very happy biggrin
Reliable
I'm mostly past caring about how fast a car is, but don't want anything too feeble (150bhp is probably the minimum)

I've been looking at Lexus RX400/450h, which although older seem to offer a good balance of value and reliability. Honda Civic estates also on my radar.

Not too keen on anything VW group due to the DSG issue!
