Stop/Start Park

Hi,

Just bought a Sportage GT Line S AWD as my daily. When I pull to a halt on the drive, the stop/start kicks in and stops the engine. However, when I move the gear selector to Park, the engine restarts and I have to turn it off again. Am I being daft here - what am I doing wrong?

Nothing. Stop start doesn’t work when you’re in Park. It’s designed to work out in the road when in drive do the system is operating correctly
