Leaky nipples

Hi all, My brake bleeding nipples look as if they are leaking from the thread. Can PTFE tape be used or will it be eaten bby the fluid

The wife had those once, doc gave her oinment and it cleared up in no time.

Definitely do not use PTFE tape on those threads. Sealing surface is on the taper at the end of the bleed screw, and a good seal should require relatively little torque. If there is any evidence of corrosion on the taper just replace with a new one.

Yep, the threads are not the sealing surface! Take em out and look at the nipples and housings for pitting / debris.
