Strange clucking sound

Hi all

Having only had my toy (GTO3R)for 2 weeks I need some advise. When I drive and the car goes over any small bump in the road there is a strange cluck from the rear end, almost like some thing is broken. I cant see anything wrong or that looks out of place but thought maybe it is the battery bouncing in its housing? Any ideas or is this perfectly normal?

Check all the exhaust mounts, mine have broken twice in the month of ownership!

Other items to inspect/check are the toe links and the rose joints at their ends. The joints have been known to develop play over time producing a noticeable clunk, especially over bumps.

Hmmm I think that is worth a look as the revs do seem to hesitate for a split second when pulling away. I cant put my finger on it but the engine just isnt as smooth as it was last week.

Are there any Noble knowledgable people near Bournemouth? Could do with someone to take a drive and tell me if it is normal or if not then what it is before I start shouting at Plans MS to fix it. Really dont want to mention it to them if it is normal.

If it sounds like a clunck as the wheels rotate, (ie as you manually push the car with the rear clam up) then I would look at your rear hut nuts. This noise is usually found coming from the near side rear hub. If its only when you go over speed bumps then could be bracket/exhaust. Bol with finding your fault.

This isn’t a constant cluck, only occasionally when going over the normal bumps on a road. It could be perfectly normal in a Noble but I have only had mine a short time so I don’t know.

First we need to sort if its a clunck, as in clunck-click or cluck as in you have a chicken stashed away in the car One other point I would make, after driving mine for the first time, I thought I had a developing fault with a knocking/cluncking sound from behind the passenger seat, turned out to be the harness swinging and hitting the rear bulkhead and the plastic on the rear of the seat. Also you get a very small amount of twist that can cause the rear clam to rub as you go over bumps etc, don't think you have to much to worry about, but well worth getting it checked over for peace of mind.

This isnt over speed bump just normal roads and it isnt a constant. The harness is good thinking, I hadnt thought of that.
To clear it up there is no click, cluck, bark or moo. The only mad cow is the wife, mad because I bought a Noble

I got my exhaust all welded up, 2 days later a different clunking noise when going round a corner, turns put the can of tyre weld came loose and was sliding around behind the chair!! May just be speaking on my own buy my nob has no clonking so I don't think it's to normal
