Apparently the Porsche Club of Great Britain are celebrating their 50th anniversary on 26th june at Stow Maries Aerodrome, Hackman's Lane, Purleigh, Nr Maldon, Essex CM3 6RN. This is the last remaining WW1 aerodrome, home of the 37 Squadron, Royal Flying Corp and 37 Squadron RAF. there's a small museum and home to RS Performance - bespoke vehicle and engine builders.

Twenty other car clubs have been invited and previous years have had over 300 cars. They are planning to have vintage aircraft flying in, model aircraft displays, vintage cars, F1 simulator, Harris Hawk flying display, BBQ beer tent plus all the display cars.
the day starts at 11am, ends 4pm. £5 entry to raise funds for cancer charities and essex air ambulance
Should we have some Nobs on display ??? I am happy to organise if people can let me know they want to go. Even if we dont display, might be worth meeting up for a blast down the roads en route ??

I've had an email from Martin Muirhead at Porsche Club GB and he would be "very pleased" to have some Nobles on display as they haven't got any at present - obviously not as common as those 911 things !
He has asked that anybody who can put their car on display, even for a couple of hours, arrives at 10.30/10.45 at the Hackmans Lane entrance.
Should be a good event assuming the weather is kind to us.
Do we want to meet at the airfield or beforehand for a blat and/or a bacon sarnie somewhere ? I'm coming in from Chelmsford, suggestions welcome !

With a couple of long straights and fast country lanes around the reservoir i cant imagine why you might have suggested that location.......
Need to be a bit careful though as the police tend to have their Evo pursuit car patrolling the area on sundays.

what about the layby on the edge off the reservoir just before the entrance to the visitor centre say 10am ??
