This may or may not help anyone looking to improve their stereo in the car.
I have replaced the normal Xplode speakers with Rockford Fosgates in the doors and added an Edge 4 channel amp running off the original header unit.
I was going to put some extra speakers in the rear of the doors but upon inspection , this was never really a viable option.
So, I built some MDF boxes yesterday that sit behind the seats and push down between the chassis rail and the bulkhead, covered it in carpet, looks as though it waqs meant to be their.
The acid test, WOW, the addition of the 2 extra speakers kicking out upwards as well as through the floor is brilliant.
Cheap job too, the 165mm speakers for the front were £70, the rears should be £65 (125mm) but I got them for £40 and £79 for the amp from Halfords.

I like the idea of adding two at the base of the seats that sounds like a good idea, rather than sitting them right behind your head on the parcel shelf. Think I may have to do this! Isnt that your car in the classifieds or are you having second thoughts? smile

I've installed speakers in the same place. I was going to make a box but I bought these instead as it saved farting about :

The carpet matches very well and just looks like the carpet in the Nob.

My only complaint is that they are not handed.
