Your Noble and Driveway security

Hi all

What do you all have as security for your noble?. Obviously a garage is best, however i don't have one!

I have thought of a steering wheel lock, and a retractable post?

Steering wheel locks are easily removed, get a quick release steering wheel and they won't get far, have a hidden battery cut off switch installed?

A motorcycle "D" lock through the alloys is used by a few people. Flip the clam and pull the ECU fuse would also stop anyone going far.

Also put a tracker on it just in case they lift it

I would have thought that a battery isolator would invalidate your insurance, you would need to leave the alarm/immobiliser connected.

Some isolators have a small fused by pass to keep alarm and accessories powered.

I'd go with a retractable post myself, though depending on the type/design, they can be troubleome in winter? Definitely consider the removable steering wheel boss too, they're not expensive either.

I also park mine in the driveway but i do not have any fancy security. I make the wife sleep in the car and only feed her every 3 days. She frightens the crap out of me so no thief stands a chance!

my advice:hire a garage somewhere close to where you live if you're worried about the car.

I wouldnt recommend buying a plasma rifle unless it really works

I currently have CCTV,with a security light.Ill be fitting a fuel pump cutoff switch to the car also.

The only issue with Snap-off steering wheel bosses is that it makes the wheel further away from the indicators etc.

I think ill invest in a security post or 2 and maybe a tracker for the car

my adviced to you regarding security is to disble the engine by removing the ecu or something so it will never start

a good CCTV camera pointed at the car will make them think twice as will a dog that is a light sleeper !

This is as cool as it gets, hard to come by these days (on account of them being dangerous to health)and probably illegal now), a friend of mine in Holland has one.
