Just taken the car out for a quick blat and notice after giving it a bit of wellie, the oil light flickered on. As soon as I eased off the light went out. It only came on again when I over took a lorry.
Just got back and the oil level is fine. The car is running in " low boost" with exhaust valve disconnected and was told this is fine. Do I need to worry?? Is it oil pressure I'm loosing ?? The car is waiting for Trevor to get back from his hols for a remap.

3R only has oil light, no gauge, but it only comes on under hard driving.
Reason i ask, it was the first symptons i had, then i noticed my oil pressure droping on exceleration, then my oil light flickered under hard excel and the next thing my tappets went into overdrive , my oil levels were good and there was no blue smoke, but it turns out that my main bearing has broke, 
not saying this is ur problem but get it checked imo dont drive her til you have had things looked at.

Maybe the sender wire is touching the exhaust front downpipe as you accelerate.
Adrian, I'm praying to the oily rag 
of Nobles that you are spot on with your diagnosis. The garage have found the wires burn't and think this is the fault, but will pressure test tomorrow, fingers crossed!!

How difficult is it to fit a oil pressure gauge.
There is a port on the righthand side of the engine below the rear manifold, either fit a electic sender & wire to a oil pressure gauge in the dash or fit the combined oil pressure/temperature gauge as supplied by Noble. If you go with the combined gauge you will need to fit a temp sensor into the sump. 
Getting them to price up for the gauge, Noble do this in a kit form, will post the cost.
