be very careful were you get your track day sump.... there are people out there who talk the talk but actually dont have a clue IMO.

The options are Tuxmans one or the factory IMO... BTW I have Tuxmans as its actually a slight improvement on the factory.

If you go anywhere else make sure you speak to owners actually running it prior to purchase.

any idea about pricing for a 2.5 ? Who can install it ? What needs to be adapted ?

Took my car to track last week (but very carefully !), besides a broken manifold-to-turbo gasket no problems but might be wise to have a TDS installed I guess

I too have a 2.5 and intend getting a TDS fitted by Jetstream, too worried by posts on this forum not to have one fitted now !!

I think ill go for the Tuxman one. Seems to be a decent bloke smile

Is it true you have to remove the engine properly to fit it?

No problem cutting the bottom chasis bar out and refitting with either bolts or welding it back in !!

jetstream actually support/build the race cars and they fit one of the above sumps rather than make their own... they built my engine smile

One broken 2.5l engine on my car suggests you are playing a game of roulette..... I didn't do anything 'serious' when I broke mine.

Nah - he's a terrible man that supplies rusty nuts wink

On the plus side he's got great legs and likes wearing woman's shoes.

Would you really say "NO" to a track day even if you are a careful driver, without a Track day sump?

Mine is a '53 GTO3 but i assume it wont automatically have a TDS, but was thinking of Bedford track day on the 9th July.

£5k plus if it goes wrong (basically the bottom end lunches itself).

Your risk, your decision, but there are plenty of cars without TDS that have had to have new engines.

Well, seeing as i have only owned it for 3 weeks, love it more than anything i might hold off tracking for now. I have basically got a '53 plate 6 speed GTO3 version of your old one - same colour, same seats. I love it.

Your website says something sbout headrests....my lady gets uncomfortable, could you have the solution??

Cheers

Scooby.. The solution for the misses getting uncomfortable is not to take her out in it!

I was going to do a trackday without it but have decided not to risk it. Would rather spend the £500 rather than £5000!

Martin (who used to to run the trim shop next to the old factory) I am sure can sort you out some - give the factory a ring or look up "trimman" on here.

They sort out the "neck" problem, but if you dearly beloved has too long legs / a fat bum there is little you can do...
