Tyre problem vibration help please

hi guys i have put a new set of falken tyres on my m400 and now have a slight vibration when accelerating hard which i did not have on the old toyo r888 tyres also dont know if this makes a difference but i had lightweight comp wheels with the toyo tyres and i have now put original alloys back on with the falken tyre any ideas many thanks sean.

Rusty hubs, take the wheels off, clean up the hubs and see if that makes a difference

Is it really acceleration that causes the problem rather than speed? In the past on another car I had vibration problems on a Falken tyre which seemed to be a manufacturing fault and it was replaced FOC. (They tried to put a HUGE amount of balance mass on the rim to correct the problem which I wouldn`t accept). Maybe you should check the balance of the wheels/tyres again. I guess it`s just possible a tyre has moved slightly on the rim which has caused an out of balance condition.

sounds like either a hub issue or buckled wheel , have you had the rear uprights machined for extra camber ?

Probably out of balance, failing that it's a buckled wheel if it's the originals.

hi thanks for all your advice i dont want to go to the expense of getting another new set of r888 tyres if the falkans are not the problem when i put the comp alloys on with the toyo tyres no vibration its only with the original alloys so this tells me its either the falkan tyres not suiting the car or a problem with original wheels what are your thoughts many thanks sean.

get the wheels checked , not uncommon to get a buckle !!

many thanks when they put the tyres on they balanced the wheels should this have shown up when they did this but as i bought the tyres via camskill i got my local tyre place to put them on and balance and i dont think they took much notice how can i check for a buckled wheel thanks again!!!

How much weight have they put on each wheel, there is a limit as to how much they are allowed to fit, ( but I don't know how much ).
Can you not get the tyres fitted to your other wheels, this would then eliminate the tyres or the wheels.
Failing that, just get a garage to recheck your balancing, a different garage to what you have already used.
