As the more astute amongst you will have gathered i finally have my car on the road again. made it back from Lincolnshire to Newcastle ok on Friday night but hasn't left the garage since then due to this pants weather.

apart from fixing the gearbox issue i had another couple of jobs done as Andy had free time at the end of last week.

Some TuxRacing wing end plates on, which look the nuts, transforms the rear of the car. Reverie front splitter which has the same effect on the front.
Some helper springs for the Nitrons as well.
Andy has done some geo work to improve the handling. i told him what settings you guys go for but he did what he always does and set it to what he wanted:

front camber 0.7-0.9
rear camber 1.5
pretty sure toe in all round but can't remember how much.

look forward to seeing how it works. i think i'm right in saying some of you guys run more camber but Andy seems to think its not necessary, track time will tell!

all we need now is some better weather then i'll be hitting Northumberland...

James, I take it you have had the uprights machined? Otherwise camber is not adjustable. Figures look like OEM. Also it's toe-out at the front and toe-in on the rear. Hope the weather improves

yeah uprights were machined. the car certainly wasn't near those figures to begin with thats for sure.

I'm sure Andy said it was toe in front and rear. will have to ask again cause we didnt really talk about that. I'll let Andy do whatever he wants with it and when i get it on track we can tweak it to suit my driving.

you got any track days lined up Rob?

3.5 months though is a hell of a long time. which area are you in? what exactly do you do?

well all the best for the rest of the tour. what vehicles do you work on. I design add on equipment for a lot of the MRAP vehicles but i've also worked on some UK projects with tracked vehicles (Warrior, Challenger, Trojan, Titan). Most gets sold to the US!

Here we have Huskys, Mastiffs, Jackles, Cayotes, Ridgebacks, Wolfhounds, JCBs, Warthogs, MAN trucks and Yamaha quads.
Very busy with the amount of kit not only here but in the fobs and pbs in our area of operations

yes you really do have your hands full!!! i work on combat engineering equipment and counter IED equip so very familiar with some of those.

Congrats on getting car back, I'm sure now it's been worked on by pros you will see much more road time.... I've been out in my car all weekend despite the rain... Interesting on 048s tbh it's manageable :-)

A brave man! just looked out the window and with the last hour being sunshine and no rain the roads have dried instantly. in about 10 mins i'll be out there...

Definitely 1mm toe-out on the front and 2-3mm toe-in at the rear (thats ech side not total toe).
Yep heading over for the Spa double header in a couple of weeks and may take in the Ring if the weather is OK.
