Car cutting out

I took the car out this afternoon for the 1st time in over 3 months, and everytime I had to stop at a junction, the engine would cut out.
Whats the Idle speed normally set at? I noticed mine was just below 800rpm, but with AC on drops to about 750?

Im thinking that as I had the AC on full blast when it was cutting out, maybe the idle speed is a bit low?
Any suggestions?

It shouldnt though, my old GTO3 used to do it aswell, but with the 3R it has never done it once and the tickover is between 750-800, something must be different.
So the aircon must be dropping the revs too low but it doesnt explain why it doesnt ever drop enough to cut out on the 3R, so what could be different? Wiring perhaps? Could the condenser need replacing?
Are the throttle bodies closing properly? if the wire is has too much tension it could stop it from reaching its seating position.

The rev counter is apparently very inaccurate below 1k so get it checked on a laptop with the software, might just need adjusted up 100 rpm or so. My car has never done this.

Mine is also a 3R. This was the first time its ever happened in 3 yrs owning the car.
Car will be down with Jetsream from the weekend so hopefully they will be able to sort it.

you can raise the idle from the throttle top a little

more ignition timing at idle may also fix the problem

I thought that quite a few were prone to stalling with aircon at max chat. Mine (2.5) has alwasy done it.

1G Racing Install manual is at pains to explain not to rely on the tacho, the correct way to adjust the idle and also how to reset the ECU to recognise the zero-throttle pot position. Once correctly adjusted the engine shouldn't stall under the increased load.

I had this issue which was completely resolved after a remap, I did improve it before that by cleaning out the throttle body which was choked up. Someone has told me since you shouldn't clean it (due to some coating on it) but it hasn't affected it and it's now 100% with air con on or off.

Mine was adjusted at Jetstream with a 1000 RPM cold start , then after a couple of mins the choke comes off and it drops to approx 800 RPM ( these figures are from the rev dial can't remember exact figures on the lap top ) .

Dave will plug his lap top in and check it from there.
