I was only thinking and sketching this sort of idea the other day, now I have been beaten to it.

Wonder how much it would cost to get made in fibre glass or CF?

Cooling for the intercooler would be a problem. It should really be vented to keep the engine as cool as possible!. Looks nice though

Yea what I had sketched was heavily vented, possibly with a couple of air intakes, as I thought exactly the same.

Similar in idea to the one I've made except I made the intercooler intake bigger than STD and put vents in the clip etc

Should be noted that the pic above is a paint shop example not a finished clip... Need a lot of changes to work.

Pauls fastback was the inspiration for mine

No vents, so how did it work? Was intercooler located elsewhere or did it use chargecooler?

Think the intercooler is in the side pod of that one, it's got huge side pods though

nice ... but it requires me to have a spotless engine bay!!!

I tried giving it a clean and wash down yesterday .... but it is very difficult to get nice and clean and shiny!

hmmm dont like those air intakes on the side. Maybe a couple routed from the top to the inter cooler?

Yep. The mule had two inter-coolers, one each side in the sidepods.

My thought exactly, I much prefer the Mondeo lump to be hidden, does look good though! I like that colour too.

I really think that kind of thing suits a nice-looking engine so I'm happy for my mess to be hidden!

here is what I have done... similar to the top image and almost no change in rear viability.

significant amount of work though... and i spent a lot of time tidying the engine bay to make it look nicer through the glass.

Andy, or anyone else that might know, is there any advantage is starting the NACA style duct for the intercooler ealier? I was thinking in the above pic if it could be start at the point the rear clam joins the roof. effectively that would make for a very shallow duct feeding the scoop. what that be more or less effective than much sharper one? My thinking is the air would have more time to 'settle' in to the scoop.
