help, wet floor

Whenever i put the aircon on I get a wet floor in the passenger footwell.
I think it's the condensation that should drain outside through the tunnel. I can see the clear tube in the tunnel but i can't trace where it goes to. Is it possible to see where it should go (and push it back) without too much effort?

I think my car was set up by the factory to drain a/c condensation through the louvered panel under the tunnel. When I did the tunnel mod I replaced the louvered panel with a solid piece that had a hole for the condensation drain hose. Most likely your condensation hose needs to be rerouted, which "should" be easy to do after you remove the louvered panel.

Besides the drain tube, also check the connections between the A/C lines and the evaporator in the HVAC box under the dash - condensation forms on the metal fittings and drips down onto the floor. In the left-hand drive cars, this drip goes right into the fusebox in the passenger footwell, eventually causing corrosion and bad connections. Don't know if the right-hand drive cars are mirrored, so that the same problems occur. Fix is to get some insulating tape from a A/C place and wrap the metal fittings.

The tube pokes out in the tunnel behind the louvred cover, I thought maybe the tube has come of the other end but I cant see it inside the car. On a hot day on a long trip there are pints and pints of water.
Most of the internal metal pipes have covering so i don't think it's coming from there.
