It was my 340 BHP 2.5 M12 GTO in an endurance race, driver change half way through which is why he was overtaken twice.

Who was driving when the shunt happened?

I could be wrong and don't want to offend but from the video it looked a pretty silly move to try and make on the apex but so much overtaking seems to get done there, it sounds like the driver realises this and locks up but it's too late to avoid contact. I notice the lotus driver also dived into the same corner very late up the inside of you a couple of times, hardly worth the effort in an endurance race knowing he would be passed again on the straight?

No offence taken, indeed criticism is due. No idea who was driving but I was stupid to follow them off the track, their collision actually cleared the track in front of me but I was "fixated" on the accident and followed them off teh track, an excellent example of psychology, a killer driver would have slammed the throttle to the floor and moved into the space they created.

The lotus was in a different race, and if you see the full length video you will observe that whilst in the early part of the race you are right I simply haul him in along the straight in the latter part I can't do that anymore - reason - heatsoaked engine bay.
