Hi Guys,

Just picked up my new M12 3R from Peter Smith's in Derby today. Drove her all the way home to Aberdeen. 400 Miles. Brilliant. Had loads of rubber neckers sitting right on my rear and along side. Very hard to keep it under 4k revs.

I have 3R No:144, Titanium Silver with black internals. Had to have the a/c on all the way up North! Left the car in the drive at home and went outside 10 mins later to see a puddle under the front end. I just about fainted!, I hope it is just the a/c!

I hear there is a web site for owners, amy info would be apreciated.

Cheers,

Jamie

Welcome to the Nobility - you may have the most northernmost M12 in existance?!

If it was water then likely to be the a/c draining. Suggest you check the water level in the engine compartment tomorrow.

Welcome,

Any intention of doing trackdays at Knockhill? - I've done 4 since buying mine in March.

Oh and P.S Owners website seems to be out of action at present - see other thread.

Hi Brian,

No intentions so far to track the car. May be when the car gets better run in.

Who will you be using in Scotland for servicing?

Just back from another spin tonight. My wife jumped into the drivers seat to have a go and ... being only 5'-3" she can't hit the pedals even with the seat fully forward. Any advice ( and don't say keep her in the passenger seat!!) Wife not happy!

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the advice.

I have seen another Noble M12 in Aberdeen but if it is the same one, it was up for sale a few weeks ago in the local paper. I think there are a few owners here in Scotland.

There is a mod that moves the rails forwards. Joust had it done so I'm sure he'll chime in. Just ask your dealer or the factory to do it on your 1000 mile service.

Hi Jamie,

I bought my 3R from Peter Smith in April but then I live relatively close. Nice people to deal with but forgive my curiosity, how come you travelled that far to buy your car?

They took me to the factory too where I met the guy who built mine. If you decide to bring it back down here for 1st service let me know and we'll meet up for a beer.

Dave.

Hi Dave,

I had a test drive of a Noble from the dealer in Dundee in February, liked the car but they did not give me a realistic trade-in deal for my Lotus.

Simon at Noble suggested I try Peter Smith as they had just been appointed a Noble dealer. Did everything over the phone and they were super to deal with. I was dealing with Gerald who could not do enough for me. They gave me a great trade-in price for the Lotus which incidently was sold by them a matter of days later. They managed to secure a June delivery for the Noble from the factory. Also got the car at the after show ptice minus £2.5k !

Feel sorry in a way for Peter Smith's as they were delighted to secure the dealership then have it taken away a few weeks later. I must also say that the response you get from Noble at the factory is first class. I had Lotus's for years and only got a fraction of the support.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Exactly the same reasons I dealt with Peter Smith. It took them a couple of weeks to offer me the right deal on my Boxter S but when they did, I had my 3R within 2 weeks and they sold the Porsche within 10 days so everyone was happy. I've had the 1st service done by them and the workshop personnel are just as helpful too.

They would be an asset to Noble as a full blown dealer in my view and for what it's worth I don't agree with what Noble are doing. We'll see what happens in the long run I suppose.

Dave.

Jamie,

I use John Clark's Dundee outlet for servicing where you would have had test drive as they are, at present, the Scottish dealers. They collect and deliver.

Said to be 12 Nobles in Scotland when mine was delivered in March.

I'm also ex-Lotus which is how I caught the trackday habit! Active trackday contingent of Elise owners in Aberdeen area too.

Brian.

Yep - it'd dead simple and your dealer or the factory can do it for you.

Dave.
Remember that servicing continues at the appointed service agents, and there is a northern sales office still to be created.

As you say though - best to see how things pan out.

Brian,

IIRC Noble recommend a service centre in Dunfermline for servicing. I also thought that John Clark's had stopped servicing Noble's.

Joust,

You never know..... the North Noble centre could be in Aberdeen!!!!!!
