Replacing the coilovers on the 3R for which?

Ime thinking of replacing the coilovers on the 3R over winter, Any recommendations for fast road use? i.e. Nitron, M400 set-up (if its different) Protech etc, tbh i haven’t heard a lot good said about the Protech coilovers over on the Marcos forum? Would you alter the spring rates?
The original coilovers are looking a bit tired and i have always found it a bit floaty when giving it some? it just seems a bit of a handful on not so smooth A/B roads and a bit embarrassing when i struggle to keep up with my daughter in her VX220 Turbo (i aren’t that bad a driver honest :-) )

I have Nitrons on mine and they give a nice balance between road and track use.

I think you have to have a idea of your budget first,as this would narrow down the options you have available.

A few of us have a kit from Protech he can sort for you. Very reasonable price as well compared to the list price on the std OEM.

Been using Protech shocks for years on various cars , in the last year worked with protech to developed a set specially for the Noble .

I like the Protech units because they are 2 way adjustable and with a slightly uprated spring rate you have the option of tweaking for road and track on both damp and rebound .
Very happy so far along with 10 other owners that have fitted them .

Looked at the nitrous but they are very stiff and the springs are too short and alot of money for a single adjustable .

I've got the protec ones on my car.

The options so far seem to be in this order,

Nitrons....single way adjustable
Protech.... two way adjustable
Black Art or Ohlins... 3 way adjustable.

All of these are fitted to owners cars.....

SWMBO bought them for me, I'm a lucky lad LOL.

Think ill give these a try, Just have to wait at the mo as V8Developments will need paying for rebuilding the V8 (Marcos) :-(
